The Second Villa We Stayed in Bali - Dijero at Umah Bali

<< Previous Post: The First Villa We Stayed in Bali - Rava Ubud <<

After having two good nights in Rava Ubud, we then moved to the next private pool villa which is Dijero at Umah Bali. Although both of these private pool villas are situated in Ubud, but it takes approximately 30 minutes drive.

Sits in the northern area of Ubud, Dijero at Umah Bali is a one bedroom and one bathroom private pool villa surrounded by picturesque rice fields and vibrant greenery. Not just private pool, but this villa also features air-conditioning, a fully-equipped kitchenette, washing machine and even an outdoor patio with sunbed. Absolutely an ideal place for relaxing getaway and holiday.

ONE BEDROOM
The one bedroom features one huge king-sized bed, working desk, television, wardrobe and two relaxing couches. They even provided us baby crib upon our request in advance. The design of the room is thoughtfully designed with serious attention to detail.

#1: Spot baby Daniel?

#2

BATHROOM
Spacious bathroom with separate shower area and toilet. You can even find all sorts of amenities including those disposable amenities such as shower cap, razor and cotton buds. And with bathtub overlooking the garden, you can unwind your body and mind in complete tranquility.

#3: Spacious bathroom with separate toilet and shower area

#4: Bathtub overlooking the garden

#5: Bathroom amenities

PRIVATE POOL
One of the main reasons we booked this villa is because of its private pool. Surrounding with lush greenery and tropical rice fields, this creates a serene and peaceful atmosphere. Best of all, we able to enjoy the whole place in private, cozy and quiet environment.

KITCHENETTE
The fully equipped kitchenette features refrigerator, washing machine, water dispenser and microwave.

#11: Well-equipped kitchen

#12: Washing machine and water dispenser

BREAKFAST
Breakfast was prepared on site every morning - this is such a great personal touch. We're given option to choose one of these for breakfast; nasi goreng, mee goreng, pancakes, french toast and smoothies bowl and served with fruit plate and hot drink. But because we unable to enjoy our breakfast on the second morning as we got early flight to catch, they are being so nice to allow us to choose 2 main breakfasts instead of 1.

#13: I picked mee goreng and smoothies bowl while husband chosen omelette with toast & butter and banana pancake.

#14: Love the smoothies bowl - so pretty and yummylicious

Dijero at Umah Bali
Date Stayed: 19 December - 21 December 2024 [2 Nights]
Room Rate: RM903 for 2 nights (Booked from Booking.com

The one and only downside of this private pool villa is that there is almost no restaurants nor shops nearby. Even the nearest cafe requires at least 10 minutes of walking or even more. Well, it shouldn't be a huge issue if it's just my husband and I but when we are travelling with little kid, especially under scorching hot weather, then this will becoming our disadvantage.

#15: Edery Cafe, more than 10 minutes of walking from our villa

#16: Cafe with a view overlooking the lush green rice fields

#17: Delicious and yummy - we're pretty satisfied with the food

Overall, Dijero at Umah Bali is a hidden gem offering the privacy, comfort and tranquility you're looking for.

The First Villa We Stayed in Bali - Rava Ubud

<< Previous Post: Hello Bali Again After 12 Years <<

From my previous post, I did mention throughout my 5D4N Bali trip, we stayed at two different private pool villas. Private pool villas in Bali are pretty affordable with some feature infinity pools overlooking the ocean or even jungle, while others are more secluded. For both of the private pool villas we booked, they are situated in Ubud area.

Let's begin with the first private pool villa we stayed in Bali which is Rava Ubud.

I don't know what got into me but this is the first time I booked an accommodation with less than 5 reviews. Initially, I didn't dare to take the risk but somehow I decided to give a chance to try this newly opened private pool villa by a local young gentleman. And guess what, we hit the jackpot because this private pool villa is one of the best accommodations I've ever stayed.

We arrived the villa from the airport around 6-7 ish evening and we're greeted by the owner himself. He helped us to carry our luggage all the way from the entrance to our villa.

#1: The exterior

#2: The room is well-equipped with TV, sofa, air-conditioning, mosquito net and closet

#3: Cozy and comfortable king sized bed

#4

#5: Spacious and spotlessly clean bathroom

#6: Indoor bathtub

#7: Well-equipped kitchen features a refrigerator, kitchenware and stovetop

#8: Hearty breakfast served every morning

#9: Enormous private infinity pool surrounded with lush greenery

#10: One of the main reasons why we booked private pool villa

Date Stayed: 17 December - 19 December 2024 [2 Nights]
Room Rate: RM743 for 2 nights (Booked from Booking.com

There's a local grocery store a minute away from the villa and a restaurant overlooking paddy field which is about short walking distance.

#11: Tini Kitchen and Coconut Juice Bar which is not far away from our private villa

#12: Lovely and peaceful spot for dining experience

#13: Enjoy our nasi goreng and curry chicken overlooking the lush green rice field

#14: Baby Daniel's first trip to Indonesia

If you are looking for privacy, peaceful and heartfelt hospitality in Ubud area, I would highly recommend Rava Ubud. You can book this private pool villa from AirBnB or Booking.com

Hello Bali Again After 12 Years!

Frankly speaking, I'm not a big fan of island and therefore, island holiday is not always my top priority. But when we found out AirAsia is relaunching direct route from Kota Kinabalu to Bali for RM293 round trip, it's really hard to say no to this island vacation.

#1: Direct route from Kota Kinabalu International Airport to Bali Denpasar International Airport
[Too bad that AirAsia suspended this route again]

#2: This round we brought along our 14 months old boy for our 5D4N Bali trip

#3: Last year when we went Bali, we need to fill in the Health, Immigration and Customs declaration separately. But starting from September 2025, all travellers including both locals and foreigners need to download this mobile app called All Indonesia to fill in your arrival declaration.

#4: After 12 years, I'm back to Bali again. My first trip to Bali was with my college friends and now, I'm back with my beloved husband and son.

#5: We booked our airport transfer from Klook. The fares are depending on the area where you are staying.

Throughout our 5D4N trip, we stayed in 2 different villas which I will blog with further details in the next upcoming post;

#6: The first villa we stayed - Rava Ubud (full post here)

#7: Second villa we stayed - Dijero at Umah Bali (full post here)

By the way, if you are looking for Bali guide such what to do, where to go, which restaurants, cafes or eateries to go - I'm so sorry that this post is not the one that you are searching for. This is because basically what we did throughout our trip was eat, sleep, swimming, eat, sleep, swimming and repeat all over again. My husband and I decided not to do any sightseeing since we're travelling with our little boy. The one and only place we went was Pasar Ubud (Ubud Art & Street Market).

#8: The one and only place we went throughout our trip - Pasar Ubud (Ubud Art & Street Market)

#9: Shopping place for Balinese handicraft and souvenirs

#10: Balinese architecture

#11: My favourite Indonesian food - nasi goreng with satay (fried rice with grilled skewers)

#12: Having our lunch at one of the restaurants nearby Pasar Ubud

#13: Found this eatery nearby our first villa which overlooking the rice fields.

#14: As for this eatery, it's nearby our second villa

#15: We did order food delivery via Gojek, another popular e-hailing app besides Grab.

#16: Our little boy is enjoying himself at the private infinity pool

And this wraps up our short and brief 5D4N Bali trip with our little boy.
