Surfers Paradise & Leaving To Gold Coast Airport

Throughout our three days in Gold Coast, we spent most of our times in Surfers Paradise. One of the main reasons is because we were staying nearby too - so it's quite convenient and easy to reach for us. Each time after we came back from theme parks like Warner Bros. Movie World and Sea World, we will definitely go and hang around Surfers Paradise first before heading back to our apartment.

Gold Coast Surfers Paradise 3
#1: Peace to Surfers Paradise

The thing you should do in Surfers Paradise is none other than hitting its golden beaches. Although you don't know how to swim or even surfing, you still can go there relax, laid-back and do people-watching. And if you happen to be in Gold Coast on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, there will be more than 100 beachfront market stalls you can visit to.

#2: Must pose with the iconic Surfers Paradise sign
Cavill Avenue is a main pedestrian street of Gold Coast. It is in the heart of the Surfers Paradise shopping and entertainment district. The whole street is dotted with everything you are looking for; from restaurants, cafes, nightclubs, bars to convenience store.

Australia Gold Coast Gelato
#3: Ice-cream brings happiness.

Australia Gold Coast Australian Souvenirs Shop
#4: There are dozens of souvenirs store around Surfers Paradise catering exclusively for the tourist market.

Gold Coast Hard Rock
#5: Anyone die-hard fan of Hard Rock?

Australia Gold Coast Coles Supermarket
#6: There is a supermarket nearby our stay - Coles. Almost everyday we will come here to grab food for our breakfast, lunch and even dinner. I love their instant rice. So delicious.

Our 9 days Australia trip has comes to an end. This trip I purposely booked to enter and exit two different airports (we flew in to Sydney and exit from Gold Coast airport) in order to save time and hassle-free.

Getting To Gold Coast Airport From Surfers Paradise:
From our apartment, we walked to Cavill Avenue to catch the light rail to Broadbeach South. Alight at Broadbeach South and we then continued by taking the bus route #700. The whole duration took about 1 hour and 10 minutes. So, do plan your trip well.

Australia Gold Coast Airport
#7: Gold Coast Airport. Not that really huge but at least it's comfortable.

So goodbye Australia. I can't believe that I will see you again after 3 years. Yes, I went back to Australia in 2017. You can check out my 2017 Australia - 9D8N Sydney & Melbourne travelogue.
