Australia Day 7: Gold Coast - Warner Bros. Movie World

<< Previous Post: Australia Day 6 - From Brisbane To Gold Coast & Harbour Town

Gold Coast has always been a favourite holiday destination for those looking for relaxed and laid-back beachside escape. So, no surprise to see quite number of people hitting the beach and some even went for surfing. However if beach is not your thing, fret not cause Gold Coast offers more than you can ever expected. One of them is the thrilling theme parks.

Being the theme park capital of Australia, Gold Coast is a home to the biggest collection thrill rides and amusement parks that cater for all age groups. But due to time constraints, we can only pick two of theme parks for visit; Warner Bros. Movie World and Sea World.

So on our second day in Gold Coast, we head on to Warner Bros. Movie World first, whereas for Sea World we save for the second day.
How To Get To Warner Bros. Movie World:
Catch a tram, bus or train to Helensvale Station and transfer to bus route TX7

Once we hop-off from the bus, we already head a loud scream from afar. And that's indicates finally we arrived at Warner Bros. Movie World. Not even before we went through the entrance gate, we saw a giant roller-coaster from the outside of this theme park. Do you think we have the guts to have a ride of it? It seems so scary. Maybe we will come back later.

Warner Bros. Movie World is based on the Hollywood theme, to be more precise most of the characters are adapted from the DC Comics. Hence at here, you get to see an array of superheroes like Batman, Flash, Green Lantern, Cat Woman and more.

Though it's weekend (we went on Friday), but the crowd wasn't as crazy as we thought. We managed to take pictures with many characters without having to queue or even wait longer. What a lucky day!

Tips of Warner Bros. Movie World:
  1. The theme park opens its door to public at 9.30am. If you are travelling by using public transportation, try to catch the earliest bus cause the journey takes approximately 30 minutes.
  2. Check the show times by grabbing the theme park nearby the entrance.
  3. If possible try to avoid going to the theme park during the weekend, unless you have no choice.
  4. In the case where you are travelling with small kids, take photos of what they are wearing. It's easy to identify them if they're lost.
  5. Generally outside food is not allowed to bring into the park. But still, we managed to sneak in small-packed of food inside.
  6. Avoid buying full price at the gates and you will get at least a saving up to AU$10 by buying online. Check out here. Alternatively, you can purchase from Klook cause I check it's cheaper at least by half.
