Dim Sum as Supper @ Fook Yuen, Gaya Street

All this while, I thought Fook Yuen only served their signature bread "roti kaya" and economy noodles and cooked foods. Not until my deariest brought me to another Fook Yuen branch located at Gaya Street, I was quite shocked when I realised they do serve dim sum.

"Hey, how come the main shop at Damai does not serve dim sum?rolleyes"

It was quite surprising to me also because dim sum had been always being labeled as "Non-Halal Foods" but when in Fook Yuen, it is halal food. Good news for Wawa because finally she can eat dim sum with us. twisted

Supper around 10pm++ for 2 person

Their dim sum are huge and only cost RM2.80 per steamer basket, which I think it is so cheap and reasonable than the non-halal dim sum.

Feeling so sinful neutral

Besides this branch, the other Fook Yuen branch located at Karamunsing Capital do serve dim sum too.

J-Hoppers & Fukushima of Osaka

All along for this Japan trip, I owed Nicole a lots as she really done well with this trip. She booked the accommodation, plan the itinerary, give information and advise to me in order to apply for visa and lots more. Oh ya! I had lots of my friends comment and enquiry regarding Japan trip which I think I will share and post it soon.

During our stay in Osaka, Nicole booked budget hostel/guesthouse for backpackers like us. wink

J-Hoppers is the name and it is located in 3 minutes away from JR Fukushima Station. It is so near that we no need to worry about the time consuming from the hostel to the train station. Besides that, our favourite stopby convenience stores was nearby there too. "7-Eleven is the spot" like what Teriyaki Boyz sang in the Tokyo Drift song. Without 7-Evelen, I can't imagine how can we survive after our first night dinner experience when we arrived Osaka.

Besides the train staion, Umeda Sky Building is also just 15 minutes walk from J-Hoppers.

They even provide lots of flyer for you to get up-to-date local travel information and if you can't find the info you want, ask their staff. [Pics from their homepage]

Nicole booked the mixed dormitory which fix 6 person in 1 room. It cost 2,500¥ per person for a night. What I like about this hostel was free access to their WiFi using our own gadget. No worry about connecting with my family and friends and back in Malaysia.

Another tips for those who plan to Japan; Nicole and I unable to call back home during our 8 days trip in Japan. So, it is better for you to search for the accommodation that provide free WiFi access.

If you are staying in budget hostel, besides the room, the other part that you would like to know is whether the toilet is clean or not. But for J-Hoppers, you do not have to worry too much because it is awesomely clean and warm too. ◡‿◡

Clockwise: Lavatory with dryer, toilet with heated seat (this is so cool until I don't feel like want go outmrgreen) and showers room with heater. (This pic is not mine too)

We stayed for 3 nights and we are the only 2 gals in the mixed dormitory eek...All along our stay, we being accompanion by the 4 Caucasians guys. Some from France, some from Australia. On our first night, there was one French guy invite us to join him for dinner but i refuse. Better take pre-caution. But on the next day, that French guy had been checked out from the room. Sometimes I regret for rejecting him because I can have a French guy friend and he can become my tour guide on my upcoming trip to France. ❤‿❤ [Day dreaming again]

Besides Osaka, J-Hoppers also have branches in other cities; Kyoto, Hiroshima Trad and Hida Takayama. And if you stay any of their branches for more than 10 times (if not mistaken), you will get 1 night for free...

Osaka at Night Time

Dotonbori
Dotonbori is a downtown district located in the area along the Dotonbori River which starts from Nipponbashi (bridge) to Dotonboribashi (bridge). At night time, it is lit by hundreds of neon lights and mechanised signs, including the famous Glico Running Man sign and Kani Doraku crab sign.

Little Megan

Have you ever wondering how many kids you plan to have after marry? Or even wondering how many boys and girls you and your spouse would like to have? Maybe sometimes things is not under our control but I'm sure everyone ever thought of that when you are just little kid or even grow older as times goes by.

For me, I would like to have 2 kids. My friend asked why and my answer was "So that when travel, taxi is enough for me, my husband and 2 kids." Funny answer leh? My collegemate gals ever discussed this during last month CNY and one of them said she likes to have twins. That's sound pretty interesting. When we heard of that, we thought that maybe one goal will be easier than experience the pain over and over again. Not until when she said, "My kid will very kasihan (pity) to go to school alone. So if I born twins, then he/she got accompanion." Lol~ We laughed non-stop in the car.

How come I crap about this so suddenly? I never ever thought of posting this until I met a small cutie little gal last few days. My mom's aunt and her husband happened to visit KK last Sunday from Kuching. They brought along their granddaughter. At first, I didn't plan to entertain her as I was so busy to edit my Company annual dinner pics as you can see, I haven't post any entry of that yet.

But she was standing there, so quiet and just keep starring at my puppy. So, I decided to move my ass and asked her whether want to play with my puppy. Within few seconds, we 2 get along well; together eating Sarawak "kon lo mee" and drink Vitagen on the table which I put my laptop and doing my work.

Megan, the cute little gal who loves pink so much

My dad brought them to New Wong Kok Restaurant for brunch. Loves their dim sum

We even brought them to Sutera Harbour for a walk.

See how adorable she was?

Megan and her grandmother, which was my mom's aunt

On the first day Megan went to Sutera Harbour, she keep saying "I want swim. I want swim. But I didn't bring my swimming costume. Jie Jie, do you have?" Erm, actually I do have but it was long long long time ago and my mom doesn't remember exactly where she put.

But her wishes come true on the day before she left KK. My dad brought Megan and her grandparents to island. What's shocking me was 6++ years old little gal know how to snorkelling? OMG~

That's her and my dad. See how far how deep they went?

Even though she swim non-stop for whole day, she is still active and very energetic. Yesterday night, after dinner, we went to Lido Food Court. What I like about this little gal was she is obedient and a good gal. At first, she want order "Ice Coffee" and share with me but I can't drink coffee late at nite. Yeah, the time is almost 11 pm and if I did drink coffee, I guarantee I can't sleep for whole night. So, I told her I want yam milk tea and she said "OK". You see, she so obedient one.

She drank the yam milk tea I ordered.

By the way, Megan is pure chinese but her skin is dark like me :)

Today, she went back to Kuching but the sad thing was I unable to say goodbye to her. Damn the traffic jam along the way from Lintas to Lido. Very stupid one.

After spending with Megan for this few days, I was thinking, how I wish if I have a daughter, she would be like Megan - cute, smart, adorable, obedient and intelligent? By the way, Megan can speaks lots of language and dialect in her age. At first, I thought she only know English and sometimes spoke Hokkien not until when she ask me why I buy reload in Mandarin. So smart this girl. She is easy to get along too and she is not those type that like to stick with her mommy and daddy like other kids.

And now I start to miss her. Megan, Jie Jie miss you so much. Wish you could come to KK again.

Around 3pm, Angliea intercom me and informed me that someone with the title "Datuk" came from the Company which I was in charge of doing their audit want to discuss with me regarding their account. I was so nervous so I intercom my manager and informed him too regarding this. So, he decided went to the 7th floor to see what's happening. But within a few minutes, he came up and told me the Datuk want find me, not him. I was so curious why that Datuk want find me for. I was so rushing to the 7th floor in order not to let that Datuk wait for me.

However when I reached 7th floor, I couldn't find that Datuk and suddenly I saw a box writte my name of it with a candle. OMG~ Another surprised from Company secretary department. My manager and them are putting prank of me. This is really a shocking and surprised birthday I ever had.
